Leasing Consultant
Location: Baltimore, MD
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM | Rotating Saturdays (10:00 AM-5:00 PM, every other Saturday required)

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Leasing Consultant to support leasing and administrative operations for a residential community in Baltimore, MD. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys interacting with people, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
As the face of the property, the Leasing Consultant will assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process, provide administrative support, and help maintain high occupancy through outstanding communication, organization, and follow-through.
This is a temporary opportunity with strong potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Leasing & Customer Service
- Conduct property tours and respond to rental inquiries.
- Follow up with prospects via phone and email to drive leasing activity.
- Enter rental applications, lease information, and resident data accurately into property management systems.
- Prepare lease packages, move-in packets, keys, and conduct pre-move-in inspections.
- Conduct new resident orientations.
- Serve as the first point of contact by answering phones, greeting visitors, and responding to resident and prospect inquiries.
- Professionally communicate with residents, prospects, and international student tenants.
- Support resident retention initiatives, community events, and open houses.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies.
Administrative Support
- Maintain resident files, leasing documents, and records.
- Receive, document, and track resident maintenance requests.
- Process mail, file paperwork, order office supplies, and perform general office duties.
- Respond promptly to online leasing inquiries.
- Assist with newsletters, marketing materials, and community communications.
- Conduct monthly market surveys and research competing properties.
- Track leasing traffic and rental activity.
- Support rent collection efforts and administrative reporting.
Property Support
- Assist with resident appreciation events and community outreach initiatives.
- Help promote the community through marketing and resident engagement activities.
- Provide office coverage during peak leasing periods and business needs.
- Assist with general property operations as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with Yardi and/or Rent Café.
- Previous leasing or property management experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Professional and polished demeanor.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to professionally resolve resident and customer concerns.
- Basic computer skills, including email and data entry.
- Experience using standard office equipment.
- Availability to work every other Saturday.
Preferred
- Experience working with or communicating with international students.
